Just.Equal Australia aims to inspire, engage and mobilise Australians in the ongoing struggle to ensure dignity, respect and equality for LGBTIQA+ people, their families and communities. To reach our goals we will always campaign for new and innovative solutions to discrimination, that challenges old myths and prejudices, and that puts the LGBTIQA+ community first.

Just.Equal Australia believes that a clear majority of Australians support true LGBTIQA+ equality, but this is not always reflected in our state, territory and federal parliaments, which often need to be encouraged to do better.  Because of this, we have conducted surveys since 2016 because we are committed to community-led change. We use the results to advocate for better election policies from the political parties and as a standard against which to judge party policies.

We acknowledge the importance of including and empowering trans, gender diverse, intersex, First Nations and cultural and linguistically diverse voices in our work. That is why we always prioritise the voice, needs and aspirations of the LGBTIQA+ community.
