Sharyn Faulkner was Convenor of Geelong for Marriage Equality. In that role she set the gold standard of community campaigning, recruiting church leaders, local government members, the Geelong Football Club and then the entire AFL to the cause.

Sharyn joined Just.Equal in 2016 as a founding member. She continues to advocate for LGBTIQA+ equality in Geelong and across Victoria, and has established a number of advocacy and support groups. In 2019 Sharyn received the Australian LGBTI Award for Best Ally. Sharyn is the proud mum of a gay son and lives with husband John in the Victorian regional town of Moriac.
